Chinese poem illustration: 鄘风 定之方中/Yong Wind – Pegasus Get to Center(South)

This poem could be a wonderful remark to the history of Wei state(卫国), the most favored state by Confucius, the longest lasting state before the Qin empire imerged. Though the Wei state collapsed once, with profound carefulness and long view, abiding to the Codes of Zhou(周礼), the lord of Wei and its people relocated and re-built their city and palace at Chuqiu(楚丘). As such, the Wei state lasts another 450 years.
A new arguement is raised toward the last sentence with reference to Zuozhuan(春秋左传)， 騋牝 is a phonetic loan word(假借) of 来聘 which indicates the fact that 3000 soldiers from Qi state helping out of construction.

定之方中，作于楚宫。
揆之以日，作于楚室。
树之榛栗，椅桐梓漆，爰伐琴瑟。
升彼虚矣，以望楚矣。
望楚与堂，景山与京。
降观于桑，卜云其吉，终焉允臧。
灵雨既零，命彼倌人。
星言夙驾，说于桑田。
匪直也人，秉心塞渊，騋牝三千。
