In a marriage, who is the fishman? who is the fish? what does the bait resemble? what about the fish line? A similar metaphor could be referenced in 卫风 竹竿 which could be much earlier than this poem by its humble writing.
This poem described a moment when the princess was leaving her home, heading to bridegroom’s home, her new home in Qi state(齐国). A slight sentiment, a bit of political reality is reflected from the happiness and abundance.
