This anthem is dedicated to god of heaven and the first Shang King, namely Cheng Tang(成汤/商汤), while the host of this grand ceremony, Wu Ding(武丁) put his name into this anthem song which make this anthem the only kind in the Book of Songs.
Wu Ding is know as the King of Wu Ding Prosperity(武丁盛世) around 1200B.C. with many stories left in the history book which is quite rare, most of the Shang Kings had only their names on the history book. In 1976, the tomb of Fu Hao (妇好), Wu Ding’s wife, was excavated intact, the only intact Shang royal mausoleum known so far. 方命厥后，奄有九有。
商之先后，受命不殆，在武丁孙子。
武丁孙子，武王靡不胜。
龙旂十乘，大糦是承。
邦畿千里，维民所止，肇域彼四海。
四海来假，来假祁祁。
景员维河，殷受命咸宜，百禄是何。
