Chinese poem illustration: 沁园春 雪/ Spring-of-Qin-Garden Snow by Mao Zedong

Dec. 26th is the birthday of Mao Zedong(毛泽东), the founder of new China, this video is for him.
This poem was written in Feb. 1936, when Mao Zedong and his troop were in the darkest moment in his lifetime, while his great vision and utmost optimism were revealed thoroughly. it was regarded as one of the best poem(Ci/词) in Chinese history when it was published in Nov. 1945, when China was at a main intersection, the lost people were enlightened by this poem.
The philosophy beneth the poem was analysed, the back ground history explored, the related poem and comment by Liu Yazi(柳亚子) is attached at the bottom as well.
Loess plateau or yellow earth plateau(黄土高原) is with a soil layer of 50-200 meters thick , it was wrongly put as 50km-100km in the video.

北国风光，千里冰封，万里雪飘。
望长城内外，惟余莽莽；大河上下，顿失滔滔。
山舞银蛇，原驰蜡象，欲与天公试比高。
须晴日，看红装素裹，分外妖娆。
江山如此多娇，引无数英雄竞折腰。
惜秦皇汉武，略输文采；唐宗宋祖，稍逊风骚。
一代天骄，成吉思汗，只识弯弓射大雕。
俱往矣，数风流人物，还看今朝。

柳亚子
廿载重逢，一阕新词，意共云飘。
叹青梅酒滞，余意惘惘，黄河流浊，举世滔滔。
邻笛山阳，伯仁由我，拔剑难平块垒高。
伤心甚：哭无双国士，绝代妖娆。
才华信美多娇，看千古词人共折腰。
算黄州太守，犹输气概，稼轩居士，只解牢骚。
更笑胡儿，纳兰容若，艳想秾情着意雕。
君与我，要上天下地，把握今朝。
柳亚子遂书毛泽东之“沁园春 雪”赠尹瘦石，并加写如下跋语：
毛润之沁园春一阕，余推为千古绝唱，虽东坡、幼安，犹瞠乎其后，更无论南唐小令，南宋慢词矣。中共诸子，禁余流播，讳莫如深，殆以词中类似帝王口吻，虑为意者攻讦之姿；实则小节出入，何伤日月之名，固哉高叟，暇日当与润之详论之。余意润之豁达大度，决不以此自欺，否则又何必写与余哉。情与天道，不可得而闻，恩来殆犹不免自郐以下之讥欤？余词坛跋扈，不自讳其狂，技痒效颦，以视润之，始逊一筹，殊自愧汗耳！瘦石既为润之绘像，以志崇拜英雄之慨；更爱此词，欲乞其无路以去，余忍痛诺之，并写和作，庶几词坛双璧欤？瘦石其永宝之。
