Apparently wrote in the late period of West Zhou(西周) by its sophisticated writing and mysterious allusions on an eternal subject: war.
Connections with Yijing(周易) and Chinese constellation(二十八宿) are analysed. The roadmap of this march and the rock are pin-pointed as well. All these advanced and sutle writing proved the poet was well educated full of his culture heritage, a master of Yijing, an exellent writer, a merciful military general, a man deeply in love with his homeland. 渐渐之石，维其高矣。
山川悠远，维其劳矣。
武人东征，不皇朝矣。
渐渐之石，维其卒矣。
山川悠远，曷其没矣？
武人东征，不皇出矣。
有豕白蹢，烝涉波矣。
月离于毕，俾滂沱矣。
武人东征，不皇他矣。
