Jun 7，8，9 is Chinese university admission exam dates. This national exam started since Sui dynasty, truly established in Tang dynasty. This poem is the most famous poem that describing the joy and craziness once passing it in Chang’an city. keep in mind, there were none to some 30 persons who could pass that grand exam in Tang dynasty each year.
The last sentence indicates brothel could be their final destination for celebrating.

孟郊
昔日龌龊不足夸，
今朝放荡思无涯。
春风得意马蹄疾，
一日看尽长安花。
