One of the Four Outstanding Poets in Early Tang( 初唐四杰), Lu Zhaolin is featured for his classical spirit and wording: through the simple wording, focusing on the story and nature rather than writing about inner mind with complicated writing skills like allusion, metaphor, rhetorical etc.
Through this farewell poetry(送别诗), we can feel the ambition a Tang people got. When I reading this poem, I feel my own homesick either.
Note: In the video, 别 is wrongly translated to departing , which should be parting, bidding farewell.
大剑送别刘右史
卢照邻
金碧禺山远，
关梁蜀道难。
相逢属晚岁，
相送动征鞍。
地咽绵川冷，
云凝剑阁寒。
倘遇忠孝所，
为道忆长安。
